Mount Kilimanjaro Charity Climb

The journey from the gate to the peak has been described to be like traveling from the equator to Antarctica in a matter of days.

Climb for a Cause

In March 2015 a team of adventure seekers from the telecommunications industry will set off to climb the world's tallest freestanding mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro - to raise money for disadvantaged communities in Australia.

The Experience:

  • Mount Kilimanjaro -  tallest mountain in Africa at 5,895 metres, one of the highest volcanoes in the world.
  • Climbers will take 7 days to reach the summit, trekking through variable landscapes -  bushland, rain forest, heath, alpine desert and alpine zones.
  • Longest day of walking is 12 hours.
  • 6 nights will be spent camping on Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Climbers will experience variable weather conditions, with temperatures ranging from -26 degrees to 27 degrees.

Why?

Reaching the summit will make this journey well worth it, however the real reason for committing to this arduous climb, is to raise money for Australian communities in need.

Please support the team by making a donation today, or join the climb and take the Kilimanjaro Challenge yourself.

Participants will fund their own travel costs, ensuring all funds raised go directly to Telco Together's four Community Partners - the Inspire Foundation, Red Dust Role Models, SecondBite and Sports Without Borders.
